Rediscover Health Again aims to promote and empower people to reclaim the life they deserve through making healthy choices, learning from our professional contributors including medical doctors, physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, registered dietitians, clergymen, pastors, etc. Though we are not a telehealth website, we aim to raise awareness for holistic healthiness. Being healthy is not limited to just our physical well-being. Studies show that our psychological health largely impacts the physical inner workings of our bodies. Lastly and not the least, our spirituality completes the fullness of our humanity. To be a healthy human being, we need to pay close attention in maintaining the body, mind and spirit. This website is dedicated to increase awareness and address the wide range of different illnesses, diseases and maladies that physically plague the human body. This is the website where we can share our fears, concerns and issues that sadden our hearts and other things that make us anxious and afraid. Through consoling one another and through the professional advices of our contributing mental health care colleagues, we can find peace, joy and contentment. All the contributors in this website are all voluntary. Anyone could a be contributor. Physicians, physician's assistants, APRN's, registered nurses, mental health care workers, dieticians, physical therapists, clergymen, priests, pastors, etc. Patients of any kind of ailments can give their testimonies. This simply means that this website is about us. Our perceptions about health are driven by the same ideas of Christ's healing ministry. During His three and a half years of ministry, Jesus Christ not only healed the physically sick people but He also brought joy, contentment and peace to the mentally ill. Most importantly, Jesus Christ mended the broken spirit of mankind. What made me start this website was sparked by my personal battle with COVID-19 in April 2020. I was in the hospital for 12 days fighting for my life. During that time, there was no medicine, there was no vaccine and there was no treatment to fight COVID-19. Christ Jesus was my Attending Physician! That is why I am alive today to spread my story of His Healing power. My own experience as a patient made me realize that physicians should not only address the physical treatment and healing of their patients but also address the psychological impact of the diseases and ailments on people as well as tend for their spiritual needs. This website aims to explore the holistic approach in healing the body, the mind and the spirit of each individual patient. This website aims to extend the overall health care beyond the walls of the hospitals, rehabilitation centers, clinics and doctors' offices. I invite you to watch my testimony on video featured above. My own hospitalization renewed my perspective view and attitude in treating my patients. Just like how Christ Jesus holistically healed His patients with such compassion and gentleness, I strive to reflect His healing ministry!
My brief professional bio
Dr. Salvador Ramos II is a fellowship trained surgeon that specializes in minimally invasive approaches to both bariatric and general surgical procedures. He uses DaVinci® robotic techniques when possible and has performed more than 2000 bariatric surgeries. Bariatric procedures performed include gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric banding, duodenal switch, revisional and conversion bariatric surgeries. Dr. Ramos enjoys seeing patients regain their quality of life to better control medical difficulties, and live a healthier lifestyle through significant weight loss. He prides himself in being meticulous both in the patient consultations and in the operating room, and his patients say that his thorough explanation and sense of humor puts them at ease about their life-changing journey. In addition to bariatric surgery, Dr. Ramos also performs other laparoscopic or minimally invasive and open general surgeries. He is fluent in Tagalog and two other Philippine dialects.
